Processes & Service
Powder coating is an essential part of many of our customers’ manufacturing process, providing both a high quality aesthetic finish as well as elemental protection. Knoxford offers a large and varied selection of powder coating colours at it’s 23,000 sq.ft. production facility in the Midlands.
Prior to parts undergoing the powder coating process and dependent on material, they must first be prepared, cleaned and pre-treated, either through our in-house Vixen Phosphate Machine or by hand.
Stage 1 – Hot wash with solution – Removes oil or grease
Stage 2 – Hot Rinsing – removes any excess solution
Stage 3 – Hot passivation – to prevent air build up and offer extra corrosive resistance

Knoxford only uses powders that are provided by industry recognised manufacturers. Full traceability and compliance with ISO 9001 are maintained throughout the powder coating process to ensure that all services are carried out to our customers exact specifications.
